The world gold medallist Gløersen triumphs in the race and in the combined standings

Giulia Stürz wins

Today the second appointment of this 41st edition of Granfondo Toblach-Cortina has seen the 30 km race in free technique between Fiames (BL) and the Nordic Arena of Toblach (BZ). Yesterday the 41st edition had seen the champions of Visma Ski Classics compete on the track.
In the ladies’ race Giulia Stuerz (1:25:21) won ahead of her team-mate of Fiamme Oro Erica Antoniol (1:29) and Debora Roncari from Verona (1:29:29). A fantastic performance by Stuerz after the disappointment of the failed Olympic convocation.
The men's challenge was even more exciting, with a quartet taking the lead regularly to the Nordic Arena, where the Norwegian world gold medallist Anders Gløersen won (1:16:20) ahead of Italy’s Sebastiano Pellegrin (1:16:23.63) and Stefano Gardener (1:16:23.88). There was also a combined standing list that summed up the two races of the weekend, in classic and skating: Gløersen and the Finnish Heli Heiskanen were the winners.
Now, the organizing committee focuses on the next big event: Toblach will be the opening stage of the next edition of Tour de Ski.
